How do I get a library card?
Visit the library and present the Library Assistant with a photo ID. NM residency is not required, but a valid mailing address and phone number are needed.
May I use my laptop at Shuter Library?
Yes. We have free Wi-Fi. Our network is open and accessible 24/7 from the library's parking lot and Butterfly Garden, as well as inside the library during operating hours.
May I use your computers without a library card?
Yes. We currently have four public PCs.
Can I fax a document?
No, we can no longer fax documents, but we do have a scanner.
Can I make photocopies at the library?
Yes, black & white copies are $.15 per page. Color copies are $.75 per page.
Can I search the library catalog online?
Yes. Our website is shuterlibrary.net. Click on "catalog" at the top.
Can I renew or hold books online?
Yes, with an online account. If you would like to sign up for an account to renew your books online, either call, send e-mail, or visit the library.
Can I renew my books over the phone?
Yes. Call us at (575) 377-6755.
May I return books when the library is closed?
Yes, there is an After Hours Book Return inside the front door.
How do I make a donation?
Donations may be made at the library during business hours or mailed to PO BOX 298, Angel Fire, NM 87710.
May I donate books and magazines to the library?
Yes, we accept book and magazine donations. We will either add the books to our collection or sell them. If the library is closed, leave your items inside the front door. Tax receipts are available upon request.
Do you have programs for children?
Our annual Summer Reading Program includes weekly storytimes and other programs. Check our Events page for details.
