Friends of the Shuter Library

The Friends of the Shuter Library is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to:

• Provide an organization for the association of persons interested in libraries, particularly the Shuter Library
• Foster increased use of the Library's facilities and services
• Promote the continuing development and improvement of the Library's facilities and services so that they may effectively serve and meet the needs and interests of the public
• Secure materials and services in addition to the approved Library budget
• Encourage and receive gifts, endowments, and bequests for the benefit of the Library
• Foster general cooperation among libraries in this area.

The Friends of the Shuter Library are also the essential fundraisers for the Shuter Library's operating and endowment funds. To this end, the Friends hold a number of fund-raising events throughout the year, including those below:
