Events at the Shuter Library

We do not currently have any events scheduled, please check back at a future date. A great way to receive updates when events are scheduled is to become a fan of the Shuter Library on our Facebook Page.

Throughout the year we do hold a number of events to benefit the Library or involve our community, including:

• Cajun Fiesta

  A Cajun themed dinner and social gathering featuring a silent auction that benefits the Library. The Cajun Fiesta is typically held in May.

• Trash to Treasures

  An enormous flea market that features just about anything you can dream of. Trash to Treasures is held each year over the 4th of July, so make sure to stop by for great deals!

• Taste of Enchantment

  A Southwestern themed evening of style and food. Taste of Enchantment features Southwestern cuisine and a fashion show bringing together all the lastest in Southwestern style for both men and women. Taste of Enchantment is held each year in August.

• Bingo Nights!

  Come out to play some Bingo and perhaps win cash prizes, all while supporting the Library! Bingo is typically held every three months.

• Booksales

  While the Library always features a few shelves of books for sale, throughout the year we hold week long book sales where we fit as many books for sale as we possibly can into the Library. Our booksales occur the week of Valentine's Day in February, the week preceeding Memorial Day in May, the week of July 4th and Thanksgiving week in November.

• Summer Reading Program

  Each July the Library holds its summer reading program with reading and activites perfect for children of all ages. The theme for 2010 is "Make a Splash - Read!" Check back closer to summer 2010 for more information.

• Children's Game Nights

  A night of fun at the Library for children of all ages (0-99). Stop by the Library to play all kinds of games or even participate in a tournament for cool prizes! We typically organize a game night every couple months.
